Mum shocked to find KNIFE inside toy doll box she bought for daughter, 2, from Aldi

 A Mother was shocked after finding a knife hidden inside the box of a toy doll she wanted to buy for her toddler in Aldi.

Haleemah Patel, 29, was doing her weekly shop when she spotted the sinister surprise in her local store on Montague Street in Blackburn on Monday.

She had initially noticed the Blonde Tiny Tears Classic Doll while browsing and picked it up as she thought it would make a "lovely gift" for her two-year-old daughter.

But after taking a closer look, Haleemah saw the packaging had been damaged on one side - before she realised a knife had chillingly been hidden behind the £16.99 toy

EFCC announces the arraignment of Mompha today, for money laundering

The Economic and financial crime commision EFCC announced the arraignment of Ismaila Mustaph (Aka Mompha) this morning, January 12, 2022, for offences bothering on Money Laundering and use of property derived from unlawful act.

He was arraigned before Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court, sitting in Ikeja, Lagos.

BREAKING: Ex-Oyo Governor, Alao-Akala is dead

 

A former Governor of Oyo State, Chief Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala is dead.

DAILY POST gathered that Alao-Akala, who is from Ogbomoso, died on Wednesday.

He was Oyo State Governor between 2007 and 2011.

Details of his death are still sketchy.

Media aide to the former Governor, Tolu Mustapha confirmed the death  on Wednesday.

He said, “Yes. It has happened. It has happened”.

Fire Guts New Warri-Itakpe Train

One of the newly procured Warri-Itakpe standard gauge train coaches was on Tuesday evening gutted by fire.

 This is even as a video trending online showed Nigerian Railway Workers (NRC) battling the inferno with leaves, blankets and other objects due to the non-availability of fire extinguishers on board the train coaches.

 Speaking  early on Wednesday morning, a staff of the NRC said the cause of the fire is still unknown.
